"Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fail." ― Confucius
There are no dearth of examples where we witness how failure paved the way to one’s success. Maharashtra's Umesh Ganpat Khandabahale - an IPS officer and a 'Twelfth Fail" is another such example. Umesh Ganpat Khandabahale, a successful IPS officer is an inspiration for many since he revealed how his failure in the higher secondary examination in 2003, could not break his determination. Irrespective of hailing from a farmer's family with no strong educational background, he firmly believed that failure is not the end of everything and that a strong mind and a fixed goal can make all the difference. In his third attempt he cleared UPSC CSE, securing a rank of 704 and joined the Indian Police Service.
He is currently serving as SP, Jalpaiguri. In this video, we find him addressing the young aspirants of Civil Service examinations, at the Orientation Programme held in the campus of Jalpaiguri Government College on 22nd September 2023.
