Shri Rajarshi Mitra, IAS (2012), speaks of his journey to becoming an IAS officer, by beating all the odds. Though from a very humble family background, he was throughout a sincere student. He took up English Literature for graduation and post graduation in Jadavpur University. While working as an Assistant Professor, he felt the inner urge to be more directly associated with the governance of the country. That led him to become an IAS officer in 2012.
