Sweta Agarwal, a girl from a small village near Bhadreshwar, Hooghly, West Bengal, was the first one to secure an academic degree in her family. She completed her graduation in Economics Honours from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. She quit her well-paid job at a renowned MNC to pursue her dream to become an IAS officer. In spite of clearing IRS in 2014, she did not give up on her dream. In 2015, she became an IPS officer and finally, in 2016 she could achieve her ultimate goal of becoming an IAS officer, securing AIR 19, the topmost rank from West Bengal in that year.
